Sahara Reporters publisher, Sowore Omoyele “will go to jail”, the senator representing Kogi west senatorial district, Dino Melaye, has stated.
Melaye’s threat follows claims in an article published by Sahara Reporters that the senator does not hold a degree from the prestigious Ahmadu Bełlo University, ABU, Zaria, as he claims.
The petition, titled “CYBERSTALLING PETITION OMOYELE SOWORE, THE INCORPORATED TRUSTEES OF SAHARA REPORTERS MEDIA FOUNDATION AND OTHERS”, named Mr Sowore, one Titlope Olumuyide, Incorporated trustees of Sahara Reporters media foundation, and Sahara Reporters Media Group Inc. as perpetrators of the alleged crime.

Although Dino refuted the report by Sahara Reporter, the Senate had since launched an investigative panel to unveil the truth as to whether or not the senator did graduate from ABU, Zaria.
