The crisis in the Kogi State House of Assembly maybe far from over as Governor Yahaya Bello has defied the directive of the House of Reps to send all pending bills and the state budget to it for consideration by signing into law the appropriation bill of N99.99 billion.

The Assembly was thrown into crisis when 5 members sat to impeach the speaker who has a backing of 16 other members compelling the House of Reps to take over the functions of the Assembly with an order to the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Solomon Arase, to seal off the complex.

In its sitting last week, the Reps resolved that all resolutions, laws and actions taken by the Kogi Assembly from the date of the National Assembly’s resolution to seal it were null and void.

On Monday, Bello sign his first budget tagged: ‘Budget of Change’, into law, promising to ensure 100% implementation.
