The Governor, who knelt down alongside his wife, in gratification to God said: “Today is thanksgiving to God Almighty, let me first of all give all glory to God, on behalf of Akwa Ibom people, I don’t know what would have happened if this day was not like this, permit me to kneel before God Almighty and say Father I thank You on behalf of the Akwa Ibom people, Father I give you all glory, I give you all the praise, king of Kings, lord of Lords, Take all the glory in Jesus name.

“While they were concentrating on propaganda, we were concentrating on good governance, what could have happened, where could we have been, as at today with the level of propaganda, with things that they have done, my brethren I have never in my life seen the level of desperation as I have seen in the politics of 2015 up till today, the level of desperation is unmatched, but to God be the glory.

“You could hear the rantings of the people, exactly what we heard in exodus, I will destroy, I will capture Akwa Ibom, I will capture Bayelsa, I will capture Rivers, I will capture Abia, who is he that says and it comes to pass, when God has not commanded.

“When they decamped to the other side, look at the propaganda that they did, they will publish the names of their director general, and they will say they have decamped from PDP, how can a candidate from a party now decamp to the same party? They have connived behind our backs, ready to strike but they have got it all wrong.

“Let me use this opportunity again to salute the judiciary mainly the Supreme Court for living unto its billing as the temple of justice, and the hope of the oppressed. Our Supreme Court has restored our hopes and firm in our lasting democracy and in the process deepened its culture and ethics.

“Remember, one side must win and one side must loose, did we win? Yes!”
